The Summer I -

This summer has been like no other, where do I even begin?

Let's go back to last July 5, 2024! The day I got engaged!! Looking back, it feels like I've lived a million lives in just one short year. But really, I have grown so much as a person. I moved back to my hometown after moving away for college and graduating. I got my first solo studio apartment. I started teaching full time! I started running with the dreams the Lord gave me and said yes to expanding MC. We joined a collective boutique and now have a storefront! But not just that, we now offer Floral services too!!

During my college years, I freelanced for many talented Austin, Tx florist and feel in love with all things weddings and floral design. I never really thought I could do that alone. I knew I loved it but I also knew it was so much more than just getting to play with pretty flowers and I already had a business I loved. So I knew that season of my life was over and that was okay. But the Lord doesn't place desires in your heart for no reason. He cares and He listens and above all, He provides.

I began booking event, after event, after event and shortly decided to close my books for the summer because at the end of the day I am just 1 person running it all! I have not only grown as a person, but as a business owner too. Learning my limits, boundaries and just figuring it all out one day at a time.

And in all this, the Lord has so graciously paved the way and led us here, to this summer -

On July 7th, I did a solo wedding in the Hill Country. A&J's wedding was so SO fun!! Canyon Lake is such a beautiful city itself, but this venue... WOW! The Preserve at Canyon Lake is nestled in the heart of the enchanting Hill Country, and it features both hillside and waterfront views. I mean, stunning all around!! Getting to flower it up was a true dream. And doing it alone? A true miracle, lol!

On July 13th, we tackled the wedding I had been looking forward to for months! The vibes were like no other!! May I just say, April & Jimmy's Wedding was truly ICONIC! And don't even get me started on this venue.. Brookhaven Event Center is a new RGV gem!! This wedding I couldn't have done alone. I felt extremely grateful for all the helping hands that made this wedding possible. Above all, I felt so lucky to have my fiancee helping me, supporting me and designing with me. And yes, I know... what was I thinking taking on a wedding that size 4 days before ours? Well-- lots of prep, lots of prayer and lotsssss of flowers! To be fair though, I really do love the thrill of it all, ha!! Anyone else thrive under pressure??

On July 17th, I married my best friend! It was the most joy-filled day of my life. Seeing all our people rejoicing with us is the BEST feeling. We cried many many happy tears and just thinking back makes me teary eye again because it truly was our perfect day. So many laughs, tears, hugs, prayers prayed over us and just so much love all-around. I will forever cherish this day and it will forever live rent-free in my mind!!

Eagerly waiting to receive our gallery, but for now here are a few sneak peaks!

On July 26th, one of my dearest friends got married and I had the honor of creating her bridal bouquets. D&A's wedding was romantic, elegant and had the yummiest food, pastries and coffee cart! Celebrating our friends is an honor I don't take lightly. Marriage is a huge victory for the Kingdom and one of the most special days in any couple's lives so being able to witness and celebrate them had my cup overflowing with joy.

July, you are my new favorite month of the year.

As summer comes to an end, I can't help but feel grateful for the seasons. For the highs and the lows. As life begins settling and I begin finding my new normal I realize the importance of gratitude in every season of life. Grateful for the busy seasons. Grateful for the slow seasons. Grateful for the high highs and the lowest lows. And yes, even grateful for the mundane and the in-betweens.

Much Love,

Michelle
